Banyalbufar

Banyalbufar is a small village on the west coast of Mallorca, set on steep terraced slopes that drop towards the sea. It is known for its stone-lined plots, built centuries ago for growing crops, and for the quiet, unhurried feel of a place where the mountains meet the water. People who enjoy walking, swimming off rocky coves and long evenings with a view tend to like it here. It is not a resort town, and that is exactly the point. A stay in one of the villas we list is about slowing down. Days often start with a walk along the terraces or down to the water, and end with dinner outside as the light changes over the coast. The village has a small, genuine rhythm, and the surrounding Tramuntana mountains offer plenty of paths if you want to explore. Come for the landscape and the calm, and bring good shoes.
