Pollença

Pollença is a town in the north of Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands. It sits a short way inland from the coast, with a old centre of narrow streets, a main square and a hilltop chapel that people walk up to for the views. The surrounding area is known for its coastline, with coves and beaches along the bay, and for the Tramuntana mountains further along the coast. It suits travellers who want a base that is quiet but still close to the sea, and who are happy to drive to reach the different beaches and villages. We list six villas in the Pollença area. A stay here is usually about slow mornings, time by your own pool, and days that mix the beach with the town. Evenings are for cooking at home or eating out in the centre. If you like the idea of a private house as a base for exploring the north of the island, this is the kind of place that works well.
