Sardinia

Sardinia is a large Italian island in the Mediterranean, known for its long coastline, clear water and a landscape that shifts from sandy beaches to rocky coves and hills inland. It suits travellers who want to spend their days outdoors, whether swimming, walking or simply moving between one stretch of coast and the next. The island has its own character, with local food, wine and traditions that feel distinct from the Italian mainland. A stay here is usually slow and unhurried. We list a small number of villas on the island, which give you space of your own and a base for exploring at your own pace. Days tend to revolve around the sea and the weather, with quieter evenings back at the house. It works well for families, couples and groups of friends who prefer privacy over a hotel routine.
