About Puglia

Puglia is the heel of Italy, a long, sunlit region of whitewashed towns, olive groves and a coastline that runs from the Adriatic to the Ionian Sea. It is known for its trulli, the round stone houses with conical roofs, and for a relaxed, rural pace that has made it a favourite with travellers looking for a quieter side of the country. The climate is warm and dry for much of the year, and the sea is never far away. A stay here tends to be slow and outdoors. Days are for swimming, driving between hill towns, and eating well, with long evenings that stay mild late into the season. We list six villas in Puglia, each a private base for families or groups who want space and their own kitchen rather than a hotel routine.
