Corsica

Corsica is a French island in the Mediterranean, known for its varied landscape: long stretches of coastline, sandy beaches, and a mountainous interior that rises steeply from the sea. It has a distinct identity and a slower pace than much of the mainland, with towns and villages that keep their own character. People come here to walk, swim, and eat well, and to move between the coast and the hills without much fuss. The island suits travellers who like variety and don't mind a little driving to find it. A stay here often means a villa, which gives you space and privacy and a base of your own. Days tend to start slowly and follow the weather, with time on the beach or on a trail, then a long evening meal. We list four villas on Corsica, and the island rewards the kind of holiday where you settle in rather than rush around.
