Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz is a town in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica, an area known for its dry tropical climate, cattle country, and long stretches of Pacific coast. It sits inland from the beach towns of the Nicoya Peninsula, so it works well as a base if you want both local town life and easy access to the water. People who enjoy warm weather, nature, and a slower pace tend to like it here. A stay here is often built around the outdoors: mornings on the coast, afternoons back at your place, evenings when the heat eases off. We list villas in the Santa Cruz area, which suit families or groups who want space of their own rather than a hotel room. Days are warm and the countryside is green in the wet season and golden in the dry.
