South Africa

South Africa is a country of enormous variety, from the Atlantic and Indian Ocean coastlines to mountain ranges, semi-desert and bushveld. It is known for its wildlife, its wine regions and its cities, and for a climate that ranges from Mediterranean in the south-west to subtropical in the east. Travellers come for road trips, safaris, hiking and time on the beach, often combining several of these in one trip. The places we list here are villas and cabins, five in total. A villa suits families or groups who want space and a base of their own, while a cabin is a good fit for couples or anyone who prefers something smaller and closer to nature. South Africa rewards slow travel, so a stay works best when you leave room for the coast, the mountains and the long, open landscapes in between.
