Perched high above Lake Como, this gorgeous vacation rental offers up panoramas of all three branches of the lake, the pretty town of Bellagio and even the snow-capped peaks of the Alps. Spacious interiors and three bedrooms mean you can invite up to six friends or family members to share your new point of view. On warm days, savor the Italian sunshine from a pergola-covered terrace with al-fresco lounging and dining areas. (For very hot days, there’s an in-floor cooling system inside.) In cooler weather, cozy up by the fireplace with a drink from the espresso machine, flip on the in-floor heating system and turn to the TV and Wi-Fi for entertainment. Though the villa’s stone fireplace and wood floors and ceilings are nods to traditional mountain style, the open-plan interiors are otherwise modern and minimalist. Gather around the sleek sofa or the nine-person dining table in the eat-in, fully equipped kitchen, or bring a book upstairs and steal a quiet moment in the mezzanine sitting area. All three bedrooms at this luxury residence have queen beds; two have en-suite bathrooms and the third has a private bath. Large windows bathe the bedrooms in natural light and frame the views, while neutral-toned tiles give the bathrooms a serene, spa-like feel. Spend your holiday honeymoon-style, simply relaxing at this fantastic villa, watching the sun move across the mountains and venturing out to the local market for new ingredients to try. Or take advantage of its location close to several lakeside towns to explore; it’s only 15 minutes to Castello di Vezio and 20 minutes to the charming old town center and harbor in Varenna or the historic Villa Monastero.
