La Bastide de Flechon is a charming villa in the heart of Provence. Set within a one-hectare park, it offers the perfect luxury escape to the country. Within the sprawling grounds is a heated infinity pool, with sun loungers at one end, where guests can dry off and soak up the rays. At the other end is an outdoor lounge setting, perfect for enjoying the gardens dotted with century-old olive trees and taking in the panoramic countryside views. There are several terraces and dining areas for enjoying al fresco meals. These include a cosy breakfast terrace, a shady courtyard with a 12-seater table surrounded by fragrant rose bushes and relaxing water features, and a pool house featuring a summer kitchen with a barbecue and a relaxed dining area for up to 14 guests. Afternoons can be whiled away with a game of pétanque, a local favourite. Indoors, the 18th-century bastide has been expertly restored. Floors laid polished local limestone or dark oak, exposed ceiling beams hung with pendant lighting, and cosy fireplaces create a modern farmhouse feel. On the ground floor, glazed arches open out from the 70-square-metre living room to the gardens, allowing light and fresh country air to flood the interiors. An open fireplace surrounded by plush sofas provides a cosy setting for relaxed evenings in. Adjoining the lounge space is a dining area with a 12-seater wooden table overlooking the property’s courtyard. The modern country-style kitchen is fully equipped for preparing delectable feasts. A central island with bar stools offers the perfect place for casual breakfasts or evening aperitifs. Two of the five air-conditioned bedrooms are located on the ground floor, both featuring queen-size beds, en-suite shower rooms and garden access. A stunning spiral staircase leads guests upstairs to the remaining three guest rooms, all with king-size beds and en-suite or private shower rooms. The 70-square-metre master bedroom also boasts a large desk, a private sitting area and spectacular views through its large arch window. For those seeking an authentic French countryside escape without compromising on luxury, Le Bastide de Flechon is the perfect choice.
