Botswana

Botswana is a landlocked country in southern Africa, known for the Okavango Delta, the Kalahari Desert and some of the best wildlife watching on the continent. It is a place for travellers who want space, silence and animals rather than nightlife and crowds. The dry winter months bring clear days and cool nights, while the green season turns the plains lush and fills the sky with birds. A stay here tends to be simple and outdoors. You wake early, because that is when the animals move, and the days pass slowly around waterholes, bush walks and long evenings by a fire. Our listing in Botswana is a cabin, which suits anyone happy to trade a hotel corridor for a quieter, more direct kind of comfort.
