Guia

Guia is a small town in the Algarve, set just inland from the coast between Albufeira and Armação de Pêra. It is best known for its restaurants serving chicken piri-piri, and for being close to some of the region's long sandy beaches. The town itself is quiet and residential, with a church, a few cafés and a weekly market, while the coast and its cliff-backed coves are a short drive away. It suits people who want an easy base for beach days and exploring the Algarve, without staying in the middle of a busy resort. We list villas and apartments in and around Guia. A stay here is unhurried: mornings are for the beach or the market, afternoons for the pool or a shaded terrace, and evenings for grilled chicken and a glass of wine at one of the local restaurants. It is a practical, friendly place that works well for families and for anyone who prefers a low-key town to a large holiday complex.
